It was so good to meet Chip and his family! He wanted to be wide awake at the beginning of his session. I really don't mind a awake baby especially if they aren't fussy. I've been photographing newborn for 10 year and I've learned a lot of tips and tricks along the way for photographing a awake baby and to keep them calm. Its important as a photographer for the baby to be comfortable and safe and to look not look awkward as some baby do when photographed by a amateur photographer ( I was one once). Awake photos are some of my clients favorite images along with the sleepy posed images. I love giving my clients of both and really seeing baby's personality.
